Real-World Experience

We’re proud to showcase this brief snapshot into the projects we have delivered, and the services that we continue to provide, for our clients across the globe.

Example 1

Background

Digital Marketing; the online world where services and products come to life. One of the many complex services is collecting ad impressions. With such intricate information, often requires a simple, informative dashboard that allows you to display data in a more visible, friendly manner. Often with the hope that these metrics can include a variety of different views and layouts.

Challenges at hand

The challenges that they were experiencing is that whatever the solution it would need to be scalable and able to cope with a heavy load, resilient (that there is a backup in case of unforeseen failures), and most importantly that is secure to keep all data firmly in the hands of those authorised to access it.

The Solution

The solution that we came up with was the implementation of AWS alongside a scalable fault tolerant analytics engine. We chose this as our solution as it perfectly met the needs of the client, it is scalable, resilient, and secure as it lives in the cloud making the infrastructure top notch. This solution is flexible – as it is easy to add metrics as and when they wish – and once the solution is in place it is also automated meaning only maintenance will be needed.

Example 2

Background

As a new start-up business, there’s a short time limit between success, and failure. With 3 months to create a working prototype of a product, it’s critical that it has enough features to attract early adopter customers. Ultimately, the goal is to pitch this said product to venture capitalists on the hope that they will invest and enable them to advance and grow. But in order for this to happen, you require a technical expertise to help guide you on the right path, guaranteeing success.

Challenges at hand

On a strict time scale, 3 months is not a long time to create a working, satisfactory – and above all – investable prototype. Given the many different types of businesses that exist, the product has to be easily adaptable to the many unique business needs and have the flexibility to change at quick pace.

The Solution

The solution is the use of Agile methodologies. We quickly created a working prototype whilst continuously striving for better behind the scenes with mock-ups and designs that can be tweaked and improved. As the project progresses important decisions will need to be made, therefore flexibility is essential for a successful Minimum Viable Product (a product with enough features to attract early customers with a view to adapt). The initial MVP was created in such a way that it was easy to drop or adopt certain technologies as the business needs arose.

Example 3

Background

The internet is where it all happens, you can buy anything, sell anything and grow your business to its fullest. Selling digital media via a web platform seems simple enough, right? Consisting of both pictures and video, selling well over tens of thousands a day. However, what stands in your way is a little thing called copyright infringements for all sold media.

Challenges at hand

The sheer number of images they were dealing with was their main challenge. They needed a way to monitor their clients use of the images and videos they provided.

The Solution

We implemented a background system that operated completely separate from their web platform, it ran all the desired images through Google image search and flagged any potential infringements it came across. This was a particularly complex case so we placed some of the heavy lifting on the shoulders of Googles image search. This solution uses a combination of a custom data pipeline (submit images into Google), API development (to orchestrate submissions in a controlled manner), and web app development (to present the numbers).

A particularly good part of this solution is that the client doesn’t need to worry about how the system is implemented or have any involvement in the process at all, they simply take the end result and decide whether to pursue their claim for infringement or not.
